Your Extended Service Agreement does not automatically transfer when you sell your vehicle and will terminate upon sale unless you cancel it or apply to transfer it to the new owner within 15 days. To request a transfer, you must submit a written request to the Selling Dealer that includes the $50 transfer fee, your Agreement number, the vehicle’s VIN, mileage, make and model, original date of sale, your name and address, the new owner’s name and address, and a copy of the maintenance records for the new owner. Maintenance records must be provided to help preserve eligibility for the manufacturer’s warranty. The Agreement can only be transferred with the vehicle to the individual buyer, cannot be assigned to a new or used dealership, and cannot be transferred again after the first transfer. State-specific rules may affect your transfer rights, so review the State Provisions in your agreement for details.
