Your policy contract explains your coverage, coverage limits, covered vehicle, plan type, optional coverages, exclusions, and maintenance responsibilities. This article applies to Autrella and Discount ESP policy holders and is intended to help you better understand how your contract works. The coverage information section of your contract identifies the plan you purchased and the specific components that may be covered, so you should refer to your contract for the exact parts, systems, and optional coverages included in your plan. In general, coverage only applies to eligible repairs for covered components listed in your agreement and does not include items or situations specifically excluded by the contract, such as pre-existing conditions, routine maintenance, wear items, cosmetic repairs, unauthorized repairs, certain vehicle uses, non-covered damage, manufacturer-covered repairs, modifications, or failure to follow required maintenance. Your agreement also includes limits on how much may be paid for covered repairs, typically based on the vehicle’s actual cash value, and you are responsible for following the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule and keeping service records. Because coverage varies by plan and state-specific provisions may apply, always review your contract for the exact terms, covered components, exclusions, and requirements.
